Google Business Profile insights and client reports
Google Business Profile insights are the numbers Google keeps about a listing: calls, website clicks, direction requests and impressions. OpenGMB loads up to 18 months of history for every location, shows search keywords by month, and sends reports by email every month or by a share link.

How do I see Google Business Profile insights in OpenGMB?
Three steps, from connecting Google to a report in a client's inbox.
Connect Google and the history loads
When you connect a location, OpenGMB loads up to 18 months of history for it. After that, new days are added every night.
Read each figure against the last period
Every number comes with its change against the previous period. Look at one location, a group of locations or a whole client.
Send a report
Make a performance report or a reviews report, once or every month. A monthly report goes out on the 1st at 9 AM in the client's time zone, to up to 20 recipients, as a link that works without signing in.
Which numbers are included?
Six figures per location, each with its change against the previous period.
Calls means taps on the call button on your profile.
Numbers refresh every night. The last 3 days are read again each time, because Google finalizes recent days late, so the newest figures can move slightly.

What do search keywords show?
The searches people typed before they found your listing, counted by month.
Keywords come in once a month, for complete months only.
Google hides a month's count when too few people searched. Those months show as a floor or as below a threshold, so a small number never looks exact.
A report lists the top 15 keywords.
Built in: what does a report keep out, and what carries your brand?
Reports hold numbers and ratings, not personal text, and they can carry your agency's name.
What a report never contains
A reviews report has review counts, ratings, reply rate and time to reply by location. It never includes the text of a review or the name of a reviewer.
A performance report holds numbers and search keywords only.
Your brand on reports
The PDF carries your agency's name and color. The share page shows your logo as well. Reports come in English or Spanish.
Who uses Google Business Profile reports: owners and agencies
Local business owner
A bakery owner checks whether calls and direction requests rose after the holiday hours update. The figures sit next to the previous period, so the answer takes a minute.
A monthly report also lands in your inbox on the 1st, so nobody has to remember to look.
Agency managing several clients
Make one report per client and set it to send every month. Each client gets a link by email, with your agency's name and color on the PDF.
Need a one-off for a pitch? Create a share link that lasts a week and revoke it when the meeting is over.
Which credits do insights and reports use?
As of 2026-10-24, OpenGMB costs $10 a month per account. The $10 is usage credit, and only AI drafts and rank scans use it.
Details are on pricing.

Questions about Google Business Profile insights and reports
What are Google Business Profile insights?
They are the figures Google keeps about how people found and used your listing: impressions on Maps and Search, calls, website clicks and direction requests. OpenGMB stores them for every location so you can compare periods.
How far back does the data go?
Up to 18 months. That is how far Google serves daily figures, so a location you connect today loads that much history.
Can reports go out automatically?
Yes, every month. A monthly report is emailed on the 1st at 9 AM in the client's time zone, as a link that works without signing in and lasts 30 days.
Can my clients see reports in the portal?
Not in the portal. They get the monthly link by email, or a share link you send them.
