Birdeye pricing: what it costs and what to compare

Birdeye does not publish prices. As of 2026-10-24, its pricing page is a form that asks for your number of locations. A third party, CostBench, reports per-location tiers, and we label each one with its name. OpenGMB costs $10 a month per account, however many locations it holds.

How much does Birdeye cost, by plan and number of locations?

Birdeye does not publish prices. Its pricing page describes pricing built around outcomes, not seat counts (verified 2026-10-24), and the price comes after you fill in a form (verified 2026-10-24). The only numbers we found are from CostBench, a third-party price tracker. They are labeled "reported by CostBench" every time, because we cannot verify them against Birdeye's own pages.

How do Birdeye and OpenGMB compare on price and access?

Birdeye cells come from its own pages, and each links to the page it came from. Where a page did not say, the cell reads "not publicly listed".

How much does OpenGMB cost, with two examples?

OpenGMB is $10 a month per account, and the $10 is usage credit. Google calls are free, with a fair-use limit. AI drafts and rank scans use the credit, both at our cost plus 28%. If the credit runs out, only AI drafts and rank scans pause. A typical reply draft is about $0.0004. That is an estimate, not a price: each draft is charged at its metered cost plus 28%. The usage numbers below are our own assumptions, not averages.

Owner, 1 location

A month with no AI drafts and no rank scans costs the flat $10. A typical month adds 30 AI drafts and 4 rank scans on a 5x5 grid. That uses about $0.09 of the $10, so the bill is $10.

Birdeye shows no price for one location. CostBench reports Starter at $299 (reported by CostBench, 2026-10-24) per location a month, billed annually. That is a reported figure, not a quote.

Agency, 10 locations

A month with no AI drafts and no rank scans costs the flat $10. A typical month adds 150 AI drafts and 20 rank scans on a 7x7 grid. That uses about $0.81 of the $10, so the bill is $10.

At 10 locations you would pick one of Birdeye's location choices (1-3, 4-9, 10-39, 40-249, 250-999 and 1000+ locations (verified 2026-10-24)) and ask for a quote. We do not multiply CostBench's per-location figure by ten, because it reports a custom quote through sales (reported by CostBench, 2026-10-24).

Who is Birdeye for, and who is OpenGMB for?

Birdeye fits you if

  • You want one contract for reviews, listings, social and messaging across many locations.
  • You are fine asking for a quote and signing a contract with a minimum term.

OpenGMB fits you if

  • Your work is Google Business Profile reviews, posts and profile edits.
  • You want a price you can read before you talk to anyone, and one that does not move when you add a location.

What pushes a Birdeye bill up?

We only list reasons that Birdeye's own pages support.

  • The number of locations. Birdeye's price form asks for it in bands: 1-3, 4-9, 10-39, 40-249, 250-999 and 1000+ locations (verified 2026-10-24).
  • What you deploy. The page says one platform and one contract, and you pay only for what you deploy at your locations (verified 2026-10-24).
  • The model itself. Birdeye describes pricing built around outcomes, not seat counts (verified 2026-10-24), so two quotes for the same locations can differ.
  • The form comes first. Birdeye's pricing page says the price comes after you fill in a form (verified 2026-10-24).

What is different about OpenGMB?

One price per account

$10 a month, and the $10 is usage credit for AI drafts and rank scans, both at real cost plus 28%. Ten locations do not cost ten times as much. Google calls are free, with a fair-use limit.

Approval first

Posts and profile edits need approval, and so do replies unless the owner turns on auto-approve for 4- or 5-star reviews. Rules such as U7.url and PR.description-length check the text first, and the audit log records who approved.

MCP

Connect Claude or any MCP client to https://opengmb.synectus.com/mcp. It is included on the $10 plan. A read only token cannot change anything. A read and write token acts with its owner's rights, so some actions return a proposal and others, such as approving a reply, run straight away.

See how approvals work on the guardrails page or read about the Google Business Profile MCP.

Where is Birdeye stronger?

Honestly, in several places. If any of these matter to you, Birdeye is the better pick.

  • Reviews beyond Google. Birdeye covers reviews from every site, in one place (verified 2026-10-24). OpenGMB reads Google only.
  • Text messages. Birdeye's Messaging page lists text review and referral requests (verified 2026-10-24). OpenGMB has no SMS.
  • Listings. Birdeye's listings agent works across Google, Facebook, Apple, Yelp and Bing (verified 2026-10-24). OpenGMB has no listings or citation tools.
  • Breadth. Birdeye's MCP server reaches Reviews, Listings, Surveys, Social, Ticketing, AI Search and Insights (verified 2026-10-24). OpenGMB covers Google Business Profile only.

  2. Try OpenGMB on one profile with the $0.50 of free credit. No card needed.
  3. Keep Birdeye for non-Google reviews, listings or messaging if you still need them.
