Google Business Profile post checker
Paste a Google Business Profile post and check it before you publish. The tool flags phone numbers in the text, links, hashtags, missing button links and event dates that do not add up. Healthcare and legal pages get extra wording rules. It is free, needs no account, and saves nothing.
Post text is checked against 1,500 characters. That is our limit, and Google publishes no maximum for post text (checked 2026-10-24). Google Help says posts with a phone number in the description might get rejected. Use the call button instead. Source, checked 2026-10-12.
What you get
Post rules, not just length
Phone numbers, button links, event and offer dates and the post type are all checked, the way the app checks them.
Industry rules
Healthcare adds wording rules about care relationships and names. Legal adds rules about promises and testimonials.
Plain reasons
Each finding names the rule, says whether it blocks or only warns, and marks the words that set it off.
Questions about this checker
Where do the rules for the post checker come from?
They come from the same rule engine OpenGMB runs before anything goes live. This page calls it with your text and shows you the result. Nothing here is a lookalike.
Do you save what I paste?
No. The text is checked and thrown away. It is not stored, not logged, and not used to train anything. Closing the tab ends it.
How long can a Google Business Profile post be?
The checker flags posts over 1,500 characters. That is our limit, not Google's. Google publishes no maximum for post text. Checked 2026-10-24.
Can I put a phone number in a post?
Better not. Google Help says posts with a phone number in the description might get rejected. Use the call button, which uses the number on your profile. The checker flags numbers in the text.
Does it check images?
No. Checking an image would mean fetching a web address you typed, and this tool does not do that. The app counts images for you.
Is there a limit on how many checks I can run?
The tool is free and needs no account. To keep it available for everyone, it allows about 20 checks a minute from one connection. A person pasting text will not notice.
Does a pass mean my text follows Google's policies or the law?
No. A pass means none of our rules found a problem. It is not legal advice, and it does not promise Google will accept the text. The legal rules are still waiting on review by a lawyer, and results from them say so.
Want these checks on every reply and post?
OpenGMB costs $10 a month per account. New accounts get a 14-day trial with $0.50 credit and no card. A person approves posts and profile edits before they go live, and replies too unless you turn on auto-approve for 4 and 5 star reviews.
