Get your Google review link
A Google review link sends customers straight to the review box for your business, and this free generator builds yours. Find your listing by name and city, or paste your Place ID, and you get the link and a QR code you can print. No sign-up, and nothing is posted to your profile.

These checks apply OpenGMB's own reading of Google's published policies. They are not legal advice, and they are not made, approved or endorsed by Google. Google decides what it accepts and changes its policies, so a pass here does not guarantee Google will publish your text.
What do you get from the review link generator?
A link that opens the review box
One web address that goes straight to the review form for your listing. Paste it into a text, an email or your email signature.
A QR code you can print
Download it as a PNG for invoices and door hangers, or as an SVG for van wraps and signs that need to stay sharp at any size.
No account and no posting
The tool only builds a link. It never signs in to Google and never posts or edits anything on your profile.
How do you use your Google review link after a job?
Ask while the work is fresh. A plumber who just fixed a leak at 4 PM has about an hour before the customer is back to their day. Here are three ways that fit home services.
- Step 1
Text it from your own phone
Send the link before you leave the driveway, while the customer still has the tech in mind. This is your phone doing the sending. OpenGMB does not send text messages.
Thanks for having us out today. Here is our Google review link: [REVIEW LINK]
- Step 2
Email it with the invoice
Add the link under the total. The customer already has the email open to pay.
Your invoice is attached. A quick Google review helps other neighbors find a plumber they can trust: [REVIEW LINK]
- Step 3
Print the QR on invoices
Put the QR code in the footer of a paper invoice or on a leave-behind card. It adds no extra step for your crew.
Scan to leave a Google review for [YOUR BUSINESS].
Our take: the invoice QR works best for jobs with a paper invoice, and the text works best for same-day service calls. Try both for a month and see which one your customers use.
How do I send my Google review link by text?
- Copy your review link from the box above.
- Open a new message on your own phone and paste the link after a short thank-you.
- Send it to the customer the same day, while the job is fresh. OpenGMB does not send text messages, so the message goes from your phone.
Can you ask for Google reviews? Stay inside Google's rules
Yes, you can ask for reviews. Google allows it. What it removes are reviews you paid for, reviews you steered, and reviews that look like a campaign.
No incentives
Do not offer money, discounts or free service for a review, or for taking a negative one down. Google removes those reviews.
No review gating
Do not ask only your happy customers, and do not discourage negative reviews. Send the same link to everyone.
No quotas or pressure
Do not tell staff to collect a set number of reviews, and do not pressure customers to post on the spot.
No scripted content
Do not tell customers what to write. A sudden spike of similar reviews can also be removed as manipulation.

How do you get your Google review link without a tool?
You can do it inside Google. It takes about a minute.
- Open your Business Profile on a computer, signed in to the Google account that manages it.
- Select Read reviews, then Get more reviews, then the share icon.
- Copy the link, or right-click the QR code and choose Save image as. Google only makes review QR codes in a computer browser, not on a phone.

Questions about the Google review link generator
What is a Google review link?
A Google review link is a web address that opens the review form for one business on Google. Anyone signed in to a Google Account can write a review from it without searching for your listing first.
Where does the business search get its data?
The search asks Google's Places API for matching listings, and the link is built from the Place ID of the one you pick. It does not connect to your Business Profile or ask you to sign in. If search is switched off, paste your Place ID instead.
Is it really free? Is there a limit?
Yes, it is free with no sign-up. Each search is a request to Google that we pay for once a monthly allowance runs out, so one connection can run 10 searches a day. Pasting a Place ID and downloading a QR code do not use that allowance.
Do you save my search or my Place ID?
No. What you type is sent to Google to find listings and is not stored or logged by us, and nothing is added to the page address. Your Place ID appears in the QR download address because the download needs it. A Place ID is public business data.
Can I get a Google review QR code?
Yes. The QR code on this page opens your review link. Download it as a PNG for printing or an SVG for signs and vehicle graphics.
Can I offer a discount for a review?
No. Google's policy bans offering payment, discounts or free goods or services for a review. Ask everyone the same way and let customers write what they want.
Can I send the link only to customers who were happy?
No. Google's policy says businesses may not selectively ask for positive reviews or discourage negative ones. Send the same link to everyone. Policy checked 2026-10-24.
Does the link work if my business has no storefront?
It works for a listing that has a Place ID, and that includes service-area businesses like plumbers and HVAC crews. If your search finds nothing, try your business name plus the nearest city.
How do I know the link works?
Open it while signed in to Google and check that the review box shows your business. Last tested 2026-10-24 by opening the link while signed in to Google.
Send review requests and track them in OpenGMB
The link is the easy part. Sending it to every customer, and seeing which reviews come back, is the chore. OpenGMB makes review requests as email campaigns (with an optional reminder 1 to 14 days later), a link, a QR code or a website widget, and every new review lands in one inbox. New reviews sync every 2 hours. OpenGMB costs $10 a month per account. New accounts get a 14-day trial with $0.50 credit and no card. A person approves posts and profile edits before they go live, and replies too unless you turn on auto-approve for 4 and 5 star reviews.
