How do I create an account?

Right now accounts on the hosted app are created from an invitation link. Open the link, and the email address is filled in for you. Self-serve sign-up is not open yet, and this page will change when it is.

  1. Enter your name and a password of at least 8 characters.
  2. Confirm your email address from the message we send.
  3. Scan the code with an authenticator app, then enter the 6 digit code it shows. Two-factor sign-in is required for every account. Save your backup codes somewhere safe.

Your trial lasts 14 days with $0.50 of credit and no card. After that the account is read-only until it subscribes. The billing guide has the details.

How do I connect Google?

  1. Open Settings, then Google connection. Only owners and admins can connect or disconnect.
  2. Choose Connect Google account and sign in with the Google account that manages your business profiles.
  3. On Google's screen, tick the Business Profile box. Without it the connection is refused and you are asked to try again.

You can connect more than one Google account. Disconnecting stops OpenGMB from managing that account's profiles.

How do I import my locations?

  1. Open Locations, then Import from Google.
  2. Choose the Google account and load its locations.
  3. Tick the locations you want, then import them. You can import up to 100 at a time.

A location can belong to a client, which groups the locations and people of one business or brand. Add one under Settings, then Clients. Imported locations start a first review sync in the background, so reviews show up a little later.

How do I invite my team?

  1. Open Settings, then Team. Owners, admins and managers can invite.
  2. Enter the email, choose the role and, for the client roles, the client.
  3. Send the invitation. If email is not set up on the server, copy the link shown on screen and send it yourself. It is shown once.
  • Owner and admin: everything, including connecting Google and API tokens for the whole account.
  • Manager: works across the account on reviews, posts, locations, reports and invitations.
  • Client approver: sees one client and can approve replies, posts and profile changes.
  • Client viewer: sees one client and can only read.
